Fund Rates

This chart is of the fund rates I pay in my retirement portfolio.

My 401k charges me 0.35% per fund to use an outside brokerage. This sucks, but otherwise I am stuck with the choices available at the 401k site and they all have at least a 0.4% base.

Generally, I do not like to use anything so high as 0.50% or higher but the flexibility in this case is worth it, barely 🙁

At least I will always have my TSP Fund rates – set at 0.03%

Our TSP, or Thrift Savings Plan, has a detailed post of its own.

SEO is a bully and it makes you add unnecessary words to hit ‘minimum’ lengths to appease the search gods. Whatever.

Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago. Warren Buffett

In the 20th century, the United States endured two world wars and other traumatic and expensive military conflicts; the Depression; a dozen or so recessions and financial panics; oil shocks; a flu epidemic; and the resignation of a disgraced president. Yet the Dow rose from 66 to 11,497. – Warren Buffett

  1. I wouldn’t take Yoast SEO too seriously! Google isn’t so harsh about the specific word count. It’s more like a range. They like ranges from 1500 to 2000 OR 4000+ words and beyond. Slave drivers!!! 🙂
