Growth of Retirement Contributions

This chart keeps track of my retirement contributions. It indicates the amount of $ invested in certain Retirement vehicles and their Growth Rate as of 03/08/21.

It is important to track this because it gives you a sense of which avenues give you the most bang for your buck.

There is a separate and detailed post about the performance of our TSP (Thrift Savings Plan account).

Here is the same list as above, but from January 2019 & 2017.

How my investments have grown

I recently cashed out a large chunk of ‘I bonds’ from recent years because of their relatively lousy performance.

I have also calculated the growth % on my I Bond hoard. $ 24,050 of my own money has grown to $ 30,329, the growth % is 26, but that is over many years.

Don’t forget to check out How Much $ from each Paycheck goes into my retirement contributions.
