Here is my Pre Spring '21 Dividend Update. By that I mean my New Dividend Gains, Stock Actions, and Market Moves for your voyeuristic viewing pleasure. I'll break up the monotony of Dividend talk with this little slice of life. Winter weather got you down? For $600 you can put a hillbilly hot tub on … Continue reading Pre Spring ’21 Dividend Update

Once again a calendar year has ended and I want to Review how I am doing on my passive dividend portfolio. Last Year (2019), I plowed a total of $42,648 in new money into this portfolio. For 2020, that number is;        $18,737 January - I put in $500 cash to my account and … Continue reading 2020 Dividend Year in Review

Pace Yourself – Gag Damit

05/22/202011/13/2020 / othalafehu / 3 Comments

(edit; this was written pre Covid19, is likely still true but not exactly the same priority it was 2 months ago) Fresh off finally pulling the trigger on a rental unit, I feel I now have The Fever for more rentals. Likely a side effect of putting it off for 8 years, I have both … Continue reading Pace Yourself – Gag Damit

A Brand New Bouncing Baby Building!

03/10/202011/12/2020 / othalafehu / 1 Comment

After pussy-footing (I do not think that is derogatory at all, an actual reference to cat's light footfalls, right?) around for years now (since 2012), I have finally bought a rental unit building. I dropped $30,000 at closing and now, she's all mine, warts and all. Built in 1800 something, the building was originally a … Continue reading A Brand New Bouncing Baby Building!

January 2020 Dividend Recap

01/31/202003/02/2021 / othalafehu / 2 Comments

I update my New Dividend Payouts every month and my Blogroll is crawling with Dividend sites, let's face it, I'm a Dividend Junkie. Surely, I am far from alone. There are loads of us out here in the ether, lurking around,  ogling each others portfolios. And by ogling I mean 'to look at amorously, flirtatiously, … Continue reading January 2020 Dividend Recap

WHY OTHALAFEHU?

The RUNES are the ancient writing system of the Germanic peoples handed down to man from the pagan god Odin.

Othala is the rune for ancestral home, the hearth, and sacred enclosure. Fehu represents our power and possessions gained by own hand, the measure of our earned wealth.

And so my Personal Finance / Net Worth / Dividend Portfolio / Secret Journal was born.
